Sisters

Introduction: I was quite tipsy (3 beers, 1 beer-tequila drink and a glass of wine) when the movie started. I may not have enjoyed it that much if I was sober.
Main part: As I admire Amy Poehler and Tina Fey it pretty much wasn't importat what happened in the movie. I had an excellent time. There were some good bits, some bits that I found funny just because of alcohol intoxication. Nothing new appeared. It was more or less a typical American comedy with great ladies in front.
Do I suggest seeing it? Well, if you're a fan of comedies or want an easy breezy time then yes - definately. If you think Poehler and Fey will bring something different and way more hilarious jokes than other films - you may have to lower your expectations.
When counting in all factors I did enjoy this piece so there goes my stars.

The Danish Girl

I should start by saying that I don't care about "the true" story or "the true" politics back then, I'm not a critic, I'm purily a fan of movies and I love the ones that can get me to feel something quite strong.
I watched the trailer once and it was like a half a year (or more) ago and I recently also noticed that both Redmayne and Vikander were nominated for Golden Globes - that's all I knew before getting engaged for almost 2 hour long story.
The makers of The Danish Girl immediately got me attracted to it just by using the color theme that always seem appealing to my eyes. So I got lost in this one at first shot.
Storyline itself was interesting as I'm curious about people who go through these drastic changes and how these changes affect those around them, especially if it has happened some time ago when the public was more uptight and close-minded.
I don't know how well Redmayne portrayed the actual person (because I've never met him - that would be the only way how I could possibly really compare) but I believed him and his character. The same goes for Vikanders character. I empathized with Gerda Wegener so hard. It's such an unbelievable thing to go through. To have that love for someone else, to try to understand and to have the guts, amazing. I call these women strong.
Yes, I did read some reviews and I saw that the majority didn't appreciate this piece on different levels but to me it was a beautiful, delicate and emotional movie.
